Wings of Mercy
Sondisko 99 177 DE, A

Deel 1, The first part of a single 45 rpm with a few songs and speeches of the Franciscan Cabaret. The single was issued as a fund-raising campaign for the Franciscan flying service in New Guinea. The Franciscan Cabaret was founded specifically in 1958 for this campaign and performed in the holidays of 1958 in hospitals, retirement centres, monasteries and alike institutions 66 times in 25 days. This record was the result of their programme. The address of Wings of Mercy was in Amstelveen and in the Franciscan monastery in Nieuwe Niedorp. It starts with a song on the mission in New Guinea, on 0’45 it continues with a short speech and song on his lamentation plank. On 4’48 it continues with a speech and song about his life story, particularly his school days before his priest study.

On 6’47 a song about singing summer and winter old songs for the cosiness.
